"Hey Big Spender...!"

This original 1966 soundtrack album to the Broadway smash "Sweet Charity" is a must for any musical buff or vintage vinyl collector! It launched Gwen Verdon to fame and produced iconic hits such as "Rich Man's Frug", "If My Friends Could See Me Now" and of course "Big Spender"

♥ "Sweet Charity" debuted on Broadway in '66 to rave reviews & was nominated for 12 Tony Awards.

♥ The musical starred Gwen Verdon- the tall, redheaded bombshell & Bob Fosse muse. Verdon played Charity Hope Valentine, a taxi dancer-for-hire at a dance hall called the Fandango Ballroom in New York City's Times Square.

♥ The musical features music by Cy Coleman, lyrics by Dorothy Fields and book by Neil Simon.
