Dainty and detailed hoops reinvented with bound coils of coated copper strung with the vintage bead collection to create handmade 7/8" hoops. Hand formed, pounded and tumbled coated copper ear wires are added that together bring the total earring to 1 1/2" long.
My original coiled and bound hoop design is reinterpreted with a joyful random collection of these small colorful old beads, each about 2 mm x 2 mm in size. The color combination came strung on the hanks of old seed beads including the random placement of colors. Six hoops of copper wire are bound together which creates a form like a tiny basket so that the intriguing, colorful bead collection can be seen from both sides, the top and the bottom.
There will be some variety in the random bead collection for each pair of earrings but all made from this hank of old beads will have the color pallet seen here.
