The name daisy comes from "day's eye", because the flower is only open during the day and closes up at night. Symbolically, daisies represent loyal love, purity and innocence. They are also known to represent beauty, patience and simplicity. Daisies are believed to have been cultivated for more than 4000 years and have been found decorating Egyptian ceramics. Even the custom of plucking the petals saying "He Loves Me, He Loves Me Not" dates all the way back to Victorian times.
These earrings hang just a little over 1" from the bottom of the antiqued brass ear wires and will ship in a gift box with ribbon. I also include an organza pouch, which is great to use when traveling with your jewelry.
