The slide measures 5cm/2 inches by 5cm/2 inches and the silver plated chain is 42cm/16.5 inches in length. The picture on the slide is best seen against white or when there is light behind it, which makes it a curious & quirky item!
This is a really cute and unique piece! The girl is wearing a yellow hat and a lovely (probably homemade!) knitted cardigan featuring a house design. I would estimate that the photograph is probably from the early 1960s.
