Designed for a bulky weight yarn, finished cats will measure about 16” from head to toe when knit to gauge (ears not included). You’ll need roughly 180 yards of the main color and 55 yards of contrast for a cat with a good long tail. A set of double pointed needles and the ability to work 'fully-fashioned' increases and decreases is also required.
The cat is a straightforward knit - no tricks this time. Intermediate and above knitters will be fine. While I wouldn’t recommend him to a beginning beginner, and adventurous advanced beginner might like the challenge!

The orange cat featured in the pattern was knit with a custom dyed, organic, hand spun yarn from spinspanspun.etsy.com - ask for the CAT. This yarn is absolutely beautiful and the softest wool I have ever every touched.
