Crocheted from beautiful satin pale gold Japanese delica beads and embellished with tiny 2mm jasper rounds that gracefully spiral around the entire length of the piece, this necklace is a a versatile piece that you can wear just about anywhere. Sand and Stone contains more than 5600 beads. After stringing all the beads, I spent many more hours crocheting this piece. The ends are joined in an "invisible" join, so there's no clasp or closure. You can wrap it around your neck once or twice; or wrap it around your wrist five or six times for a show-stopping bracelet. The texture and feel of this piece are amazing. It's very smooth, because the delica beads are so uniform in size and shape; and the technique of bead crochet results in a rope that's very sensual and slinky.
