The piece was first knitted in seed stitch, then it was felted. The resulting fabric has a little texture, but it's more dense than normal knitting. Finally, this was attached to barrette hardware.
The public side of the barrette is about 5 inches long and 2 inches wide. The clasp is 2 1/2 inches long. Thanks for looking.
