Bead covered hoops are just under 1 1/4" (32 mm) in diameter and the total length of the earring, measured from the top of the ear wire, is just under 1 7/8" (46 mm.)
I began to design forms with coiled metal wire a few years ago and a number of different forms, especially more organic structures, have evolved.
This past summer, I learned about "bead soup" which is a method of mixing beads so that they are used in random order. This particular bead soup features fascinating opalized Czech glass beads in russet, peach, pink, vanilla, mint, aqua blue and periwinkle blue. The total effect of mostly soft pastels reminds me of a candy store and of cotton candy at the county fair. Five distinct coils are covered in this bead mixture, and then bound with finer silver wire to incorporate a small loop to hand from handmade ear wires. My original, handmade hoops dangle freely and are very lightweight to wear.
Perfect for birthdays, gardeners, nature lovers, and for anyone who love pastels and candy colors - equally perfect for casual or for business wear. These happen to coordinate perfectly with this Pearl and Silk Chain in my studio http://www.etsy.com/listing/45832377/rainbow-of-pearls-and-long-silk-chain
