"Beckon" is a sketch painting. I use these sketches to try out new thoughts and ideas and to have some fun with the materials. I enjoy pushing the paint around and seeing what it will do, what comes through. The first two images are scanned, the third is a photograph to show the entire piece. Color will vary on your monitor from the original piece, but the scanned images are quite close to the actual colors.

The painting is approximately 5 x 7 inches on very thick watercolor paper just over 8 x 10 inches. There is plenty of room to trim if needed for framing. No frame or mat is provided with the painting.

Watercolor, gouache, acrylic, and pencil on Arches 300 lb watercolor paper. Protected with a matte varnish, though care should still be taken as works on paper are delicate and prone to fading in direct sunlight.

Titled, signed, and year on the front just under the painting. Titled, signed, and dated on the back.
