26 white 18 black. This is the Yamaha Portasound PS-400 Keyboard. This keyboard was produced sometime around the early 80s. It is a rather rare keyboard and I was unable to find much information on it, although I have been using it personally for awhile and can say that she is up to code and an all around great instrument. She has 44 keys (26 white and 18 black), a transposer, duet key, memory function, single chord button, a 10 genre rhythm section, 10 different instruments, and a sustain button. It also has a port for a pedal, Aux out, and headphones. It either can be used with a 9-12v a/c adapter (not included) or 6 C batteries. Cosmetically this keyboard is in great condition. The stickers that marked which key is which are pretty much non existent, but other than that she is clean as a whistle and in absolute perfect working order.
The original case is also included. The case is still in fantastic condition with the exception that it appears to have been in a brawl with some green and white paint. The good news is that the case won and other than some slight color differences, it is still as good as new.
For those interested in modding keyboards this gal is a gem and I have found a few examples of some bent PS-400s on youtube if you care to take a gander http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uFIH8__-68Q
I also found an example of the sound she produces without being modded right here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mFPlx8sLozc Sounds good eh?
