From the same girl that brought you the series of Superhero hats, now comes the custom Superhero sweater!
The sweater shown was obviously modeled after the Amazing Spider-Man! It features his signature colors; blue and red, webbing up the front and sleeves, his spider symbol on the front, and a large red spider on the back of the sweater.
There are a total of six sweaters available for made-to-order. The first being the pictured; Spider-Man. Others include, Freakazoid!, Batman, Robin, Superman, and Captain America. Also, at this time I will not be taking suggestions for other heroes. If I come up with any new sweater ideas, they will be posted on the site. Each additional superhero sweater is drawn and shown in the additional pictures as to what the patterns look like.
This is a made to order sweater, so you will not be receiving the one shown in the pictures. Each sweater is handmade by myself. A brand new one will be made based on the measurements that you give me in the message to the buyer. The sweater made for you will be slightly baggier than the one pictured. This was simply a prototype. Each sweater will require 4 to 6 weeks to make and assemble. I will only be making one sweater at a time, so its "first-come-first-serve".
Wanna add a cape? No problem! Just message me if you'd like to add a cape so that I can make you your own listing for the sweater to include the cost of the cape. To add a cape; it will cost an additional $15. Also, please allow for an extra week for your order to include the cape as it will take longer.
Another new addition! Want your utility belt to have actual pockets? Message me and I'll add em'! Each pocket would only be big enough to hold maybe a cellphone or iPod, but this it'd be pretty cool. With the addition of pockets, it would cost an additional $10. And again, another week would have to be added to the completion time. This utility belt addition is only available to Batman and Robin sweaters.
These sweaters are made in Raglan style which means that the front and back of the sweater are decreased from where the armpit starts up till the neck and the sleeves are joined at those points near the neck.
Each will have ribbing on the bottom of the sweater and the end of each sleeve. If the colors are available, I will be using Lion Brand Wool-Ease yarn which is 80% Acrylic/20% Wool yarn. This yarn offers the softness and warmth of wool and the easy care of acrylic.
Now, as the sweater shown is a prototype some things are bound to look different on your finished product. This may include the saturation of color (meaning that while you will still get a red, black, and blue sweater for Spider-Man, the blue may be darker or lighter then the one shown, etc).
