The Roarin' 20's.
An explosion of architecture, sculpture, design, life.
The Golden Gate Bridge, the Empire State Building, the Chrysler Building...all masterpieces of architecture heralding a new age in design and construction.

Borrowing the chevron shapes and clean lines from this period, I've sawed out two little copper panels and riveted them together suspending a pineapple yellow clay donut from Kristie Roeder of Artisan Clay. I haven't used glue or adhesives, just the tension of the copper plates to hold the ceramic in place.

A copper chain with little jade rounds measures 18" and suspends the pendant adding an extra 2" drop. The necklace closes with a simple lobster clasp. Please let me know if you'd like more or less chain and I can customize the length for you.

Thank you for stopping by. Everything you see here is handmade by me and one of a kind. Take some time to browse around my little shop and please feel free to convo me if you have any questions. If you'd like to see more of my work or hear about the inspiration behind my pieces, I can be found here: http://labellajoya.blogspot.com.
