This intriguing little tomboy will take you and your children on wildly imaginative adventures. There is never a dull moment when you enter Pippi's world.
From inside dust jacket:
There have been many delightful tomboys in children's literature but Pippi is unique, and the most independent of them all.
Pippi has the good luck to live with her horse and her monkey (but no grownups) in a rackety-packety house on the edge of a little town in Sweden, next door to two very nice average children, a boy and a girl, whose life is never the same after Pippi appears.
This book is in very good condition for it's age. The dust jacket has some wear and minor edge tears. The inside of the boards are discolored at the spine. The pages are in very good condition, no yellowing. The book is a taupe color with a red Pippi on the cover board.
The book measures 5 3/4" wide x 8 1/2" tall x 3/4" thick. It was printed by Viking Press, New York. 158 pages.
The book denotes the copyright date as 1950. It may be a later edition as there is a 5 digit zip code after the state, which did not take effect until 1963.
