Sid is one of two square head dolls I have made this year, the other is Sids sweetheart Maggie seen in the fourth photo. Sid is constructed from a variety of materials, linen head, vintage cotton body and bow tie and cotton trousers with vintage buttons. His face is hand embroidered with wool felt ears and nose. He wears a hand knitted pale blue & mint green hat. Sid was inspired by cartoons and illustrations from the 50s and 60s.
He is stuffed with polyester filling and is approx. 18" or 46 cm tall. Sid can stand but also has a ribbon attached to his back so that he can be displayed on the wall as seen in photo five. Sid is a unique one off creation, an arty soul to brighten any room.
