This scarf was created by Daw (pictured at right), an artisan whose craft was passed down for generations in homeland in the hill country of Burma. Now living in Texas' own hill country, Daw earns extra income for her family and builds community here while keeping the hill tribe weaving tradition alive.
This scarf is a loose-weave stripes and squares pattern made from dark grey and light silver shimmery cotton yarn. It is approx. 8" wide x 68" tall. The tassels add an additional 5" of length to each end. Made from 100% pearl cotton thread, this scarf adds a special warmth to any wardrobe.
Since all of Hill Country Hill Tribers products are produced by hand, each piece is unique and may contain imperfections that add to its character. To learn more about the education and economic development work of Hill Country Hill Tribers, visit www.hilltribers.org.
