I made this pattern because I wanted a soft warm shoe for my baby that would fully cover his chubby little ankles, but also provide a non-slip sole. Being a busy mom (what mom isn't?), I wanted to be able to pull them on without the hassle of laces, snaps or exposed elastic, yet I did not want them to be kicked off. And so the eskababy boots were born. These charming little cuddlers are made of soft, stretchy anti-pill fleece and have a repurposed soft suede sole and a lightly cushioned footbed lined with knit cotton fabric (I offer alternative sole materials in the pattern). They can be worn with the cuff up or down. Each boot has an internal elastic band for a stay-put fit that won’t leave marks. These are the same boots I sell in my Etsy shop, of which one returning buyer wrote in her feedback:
"These are seriously the best item on Etsy!!!! Thanks again for these divine little boots... we love them so much and are so grateful for your craftiness :)"
