This Taxco bracelet is absolutely the epitome of the Mexican silversmith's art...It was created in the taller of LOS CASTILLO who gave us the greats like Margot de Taxco, whose husband, Antonio, began working in the taller of William Spratling, the Father of the Mexican Silver Renaissance, before he headed out on his own to open his taller with his wife and very extended family...
...this bracelet consists of eleven pairs of solid back panels which have had beautiful organic floral motifs in opposition to one another hammered into a stylistic repousse'...dynamic movement visually and on the wrist...the articulation is superb...this is my promise: if YOU are wearing this bracelet you will have innumerable compliments.

This bracelet has the faintest discernable eagle stamp in the circular stamp indicating the maker: LOS CASTILLO...created after 1948...Antonio and Margot may have still been married...she was his designer...

Hallmarks: One above the other: sterling; made in Mexico
LOS CASTILLO TAXCO
468 (the design or inventory #)
Wide hook clasp...I added a safety chain - the original was gone...a couple of pinpoint dings seen with a magnifier, otherwise no dents, dings or compromises...

Dimensions: > 6 3/4" long...1 13/16" wide...91 grams silver
...beyond superb vintage...there are VERY FEW available...VERY RARE: more than a bracelet, this is an investment...
