Our unique wire framed bags are all hand made. My husband bends the wire and I sew the bags. It's our own pattern based off of a tattered vintage bag found in his grandfather's estate. (I've since heard from a few folks that they remember their grandmothers with lidded bags similar to this!)

I've updated and adapted it to current times... It features a magnet on the lid (that sticks to the wire hook) to keep it open while you're hanging your clothes out. The wire frame on the bottom of the bag keeps the pouch open - for easy access while you're busy wrangling wet clothes. All exposed seams are cut with old fashioned pinking shears (to keep the edges from fraying out) and it is all sewn on my 1970's Bernina sewing machine (thanks Mom!). The seams on this bag are facing the inside - so there aren't any raw edges in the sack - an updated feature to this bag!

These bags hold enough spring type clothespins for most of your line drying needs! Each bag holds about 200 pins! Bag measurements are as follows:

11 inches tall
6 inches deep (on the lid)
10 1/2 inches wide at the wire part
13 inches wide at the bottom of the bag

The original fabric is cotton blend of some sort - it's hard to tell the real fiber content and there was no label - this is a remnant piece of canvas that I bought at a yard sale. It is a heavier canvas, so nice and sturdy for holding all of those pins! The inside lid fabric is quilters cotton. The lining fabric of the bag portion is heavy weight muslin. The wire is a heavy 12 gauge, heavy enough to hold its shape but thin enough to bend with pliers. All in all, it's machine washable (simply remove the wire before putting it into the wash) and should last for years.

Lidded clothespin bags are great for keeping your pins from bouncing out while on the line! Growing up in Kansas with all of the wind, that was always a battle... the lid on this bag will help keep the pins where they belong. It also works well for keeping the pins in while you carry them in and out of the house and keep thieving birds from grabbing a prize.

Each bag is a one of a kind! As a yard sale find, I only had enough fabric for this one bag. If you love it, grab it before someone else does!

I also do custom bags upon request - please contact me for details!
