Palladium sterling silver (the inner layer on this band) is an alloy that (like traditional sterling silver) is comprised of 92.5% pure silver; however, palladium sterling silver adds 3% palladium (a precious metal akin to platinum) to give the alloy more tarnish resistance and durability.
14k palladium white gold (the outer layer on this band) is an alloy that (like traditional 14k white gold) is comprised of 58.5% pure gold; however, 14k palladium white gold adds a bit of palladium to the mix to give the alloy a slightly brighter and grayer color (a tad less yellow than regular 14k white gold). 14k palladium white gold is quite a bit harder and more durable than silver, so using it as an outer layer on this band provides a surface that is more resistant to scratches and dings than a solid silver ring would be.
The metal used in the construction of these rings is from recycled sources and has been given a matte, hammered finish.
This design is also available in a variety of widths and finishes (flat/hammered, shiny/brushed, etc.) - please convo me to discuss custom options.
Please allow 3-4 weeks for fabrication of your custom ring.
Be aware that the layered, dual metal construction of this ring makes it difficult (if not impossible) to re-size. I always recommend that you get professionally sized at a local jeweler, using ring sizers as close as possible in width to the band you are planning to order. Additionally, if you are unsure at all about your size, I can send out the silver core for you to try on prior to adding the precious metal overlay, since adjustments are still possible at that point in the construction process. This would, of course, add a couple of weeks to my turnaround time. If you'd like to do this, please be sure to let me know in the 'message to seller' field during checkout.
Due to the value of this piece, shipping costs have been adjusted to include insurance within the United States. I do offer international shipping; if you live outside the US, please contact me for a quote specific to your location. Due to the lack of availability of insurance through the US postal service for international packages, I use FedEx when shipping overseas; this is a more expensive but far safer option. International buyers, please be aware that you are solely responsible for any duties/taxes that your country may charge on imported goods.
As is all my jewelry, this piece is vegan, meaning no animal products (pearls, silk, leather, etc.) were used in its construction.
