I love making skirts that are easy-care, figure-flattering, and just fun to wear. A-line shaped & hemmed to just-above-the-knee (or any length you'd prefer), this skirt is simple but really looks great on lots of body types (curvy, lean, petite, tall). The slip-on, elastic waist style gives room to breathe, move, and groove.
Oh, and then there's the POCKET: an important feature that's often left off of women's clothes (like we all want to carry purses or bags all of the time, really?) Unlike the flimsy side pockets on most women's clothes, the uterus pocket on this skirt is just the right size (7.5" by 4.5") to hold your most important stuff (phone, small wallet, etc.), and the durable (satin stitch) applique is made to hold up, even with lots of wear & washing. Pocket placement makes it perfect for active-wear (biking, rocking out, etc.) without risking losing your stuff (from either gravity or pick-pockets).

•1• YOUR MEASUREMENTS = waist and hip + skirt length
Measure around where you want the waist of the finished skirt to sit on your body (+) around the widest part below this waist point (+) the length from this waistline to your knees--or where ever you want the bottom hem of the finished skirt to be. Please give me actual measurements (I'll add room for ease of wear).
I can make this design in sizes 5X & up, just contact me first to discuss this option, since it requires more fabric+trims+labor time, so I need to charge a bit ($5 to $10) more = no biggie!
•2• YOUR FABRIC PREFERENCES for the skirt and uterus fabrics = let me know any colors you love/hate, if you'd prefer solids or patterned fabrics (or if either is fine), any retro-vibe or style that you dig. I have a range of vintage, rescued fabrics available and will work with you to show you options through convos/emails with photos of fabric choices.
While I like to make this skirt design out of knit polyester or poly-blend fabrics (since these are stretchy, stain-resistant, colorful, and easy-care), if you want your skirt made in a woven (non-knit, non-stretchy) fabric, this is totally do-able, but it will cost $8 extra (since I'll need to add a zipper + button closure to the design = takes a bit more time & supply cost); we can arrange this up-grade ahead of time through convos before you purchase, or I can send a paypal invoice for this extra charge after your purchase, but this will also entail a [tiny] fee, since paypal takes their cut for each transaction).
Production (turn-around) time is currently estimated at: 10 DAYS from payment to shipment of finished, custom-made garment. I'll reply after your purchase with a firm deadline for shipment of your finished custom order.
