Red clay has been used to wash the skin and hair for centuries. Horsetail is a traditional tonic for strong, healthy hair. Aloe vera, cedarwood, and lavender calm and tone the scalp.
Directions: Shake bottle until the contents sound milkshake-thick. Pour a small amount of our slippery-textured Mud into your hand, massage all over scalp in sections, and rinse (no need to apply to the hair itself). Rinses out easily. The cleanser will not foam or leave hair “squeaky clean” and overstripped like conventional detergents – but it will leave your scalp clean, exfoliated, and refreshed and your hair voluminous! Follow with a diluted vinegar rinse (1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar to 1 cup water) and, if desired, apply an oil serum, pomade, or natural conditioner to the ends.

A few notes on Priya Means Love:
I handcraft all my products from scratch using only hardcore natural ingredients, most of which are organic. I never use any synthetics, including petroleum products, parabens, or synthetic fragrances. I avoid borderline natural ingredients like grapefruit seed extract or emulsifying wax. I am very sensitive to synthetic fragrances, so you can be sure my products never contain them; the scent of my products comes only from plants, from fragrant whole ingredients like virgin beeswax and virgin coconut oil, from essential oils, and from flowers, herbs, and spices infused in various ways.
Animal testing: I'm against it - the only animals I test on are me and my friends and family. :) All my products are vegetarian - no emu oil or the like - and my only non-vegan ingredients are fragrant golden beeswax and, in a few products, natural lanolin, extracted from freshly sheared sheep's wool. Most all of my products can be made vegan on request - please feel free to convo me!
My shipping policy: I charge my actual shipping costs $0.50 - $1 for packaging and handling. If my estimates end up in an overcharge, I always issue a refund via PayPal right away. I package my items in repurposed bubble wrap and brown paper from my packaging suppliers, and I generally ship within 3 business days. If you need your item sooner, please convo me. Folks from outside the US and Canada: I ship to your country, too! Simply contact me for a shipping estimate before purchasing.
Please reuse our beautiful containers; glass containers and undamaged tins and aluminum bottles can be returned to Priya Means Love for a discounted refill; as a last resort, please recycle (blue glass gets mixed with green).
