Tatting is an old form of lace making done with a series of knots. It is most often seen in doilies and lace edgings for handkerchiefs and pillowcases. The rosettes in this necklace come from a pattern for a doily. I joined them and created my own pattern to weave the beads together.
Completely metal free. The closure is a bead that goes into a tatted loop at the end of the necklace. This necklace is 18 inches long. The rosettes are 1.75 inches in diameter.
This is a one-of-a-kind necklace.
