Frou Frou Antique Green and Lace Apron Vintage 1940s -- Strictly for Showing Off

Beautiful antique green silk apron with very elaborate lace borders and trim. This is a hand made, one of a kind item, sewn on an early treadle machine and will only fit a waist 26 inches or less. It requires a pin to hold the apron ties together in the back and at least two pins to fasten the apron bodice to your dress. This is an apron that was never intended to be used for work. It is strictly for showing off once dinner is served, a hostess apron in other words, not a cook's apron. That being clear it is, in fact, very decorative indeed. The materials are of extremely high quality, including the ivory colored silk ribbons used in some of the trim and the condition is perfect. If this apron has been worn it was done very, very carefully.
