THIS LISTING IS FOR A CAT TAP ONLY. IT DOES NOT INCLUDE A FOUNTAIN. Most fountains can take this Cat Tap but aren't sold with one in order to keep the price down. It simply fits over the pump nozzle. Each is handmade to fit a particular fountain so the designs vary slightly, however they all work wonderfully and are super enticing to cats. Please note that the Cat Tap is only sold with a fountain so that I can make sure it is a proper fit, works well and has no splash-out as making one to fit a previously sold fountain can be problematic. Also, please note that though all the Cat Taps and the Waterleaf attach firmly to the pump, they can be knocked over so if you have a rambunctious cat these may not be a wise choice.
I make these of pure copper which I cut to length, heat to cherry red (anneal) and hand shape to fit a particular fountain so the water falls in the right place with a pleasant sound and no splash. I cut a nice, graceful spout-end for a fine, finished look. I then file it smooth and buff it for a bright, coppery sheen.
These are great for cats who really like to drink from a falling stream of water (like a faucet). The flow level can be adjusted at the pump.
