Anatomical Human Heart polymer clay mold
The finished piece will measure apx. 1 1/4" W X 2" H
You will receive the mold only, not the original piece or the ruler.
If you need a larger quanity of molds then what is listed please let me know. I make the molds myself and can make however many you need.
Please note that the original items are not made of clay and I did not make them. They are what I use to make the molds.
Polymer Clay Molds can be used with Polymer Clay (Sculpey, Fimo etc) and air dry clay. They can also be used with cold porcelain clay and precious metal clay as well as paper clay.
Polymer Clay Molds are not food safe or food grade. Do not use them candy, gumpaste or any other type of edible item.
Polymer Clay Molds are not for use with liquids such as wax, glue, soap, plaster or resin.
This mold would be great for all of your crafting needs. This mold is hard.
Please note that each mold is handmade so the shape of the mold you receive may vary from what is pictured. The mold impression will be the same. This is a very detailed mold that will make many impressions. I test all molds before shipping them.
Since clay tends to stick to clay you should put corn starch or baby powder on the mold as a mold release.
How to use polymer clay molds
These molds are for use with polymer clay and they are hard. Examples are sculpey, fimo etc. You can buy the clay at most craft stores. The nice thing about polymer clay is that it stays soft until you cure (bake) it so if you make a mistake you can simply roll it up and try again.
The first thing that you need to do is condition the clay. You do that by kneading it with your hands. Keep going until you get rid of any air bubbles and it is the consistency of silly putty.
You are now ready to press it into the mold. Make sure that you have just enough clay to fill the mold if you have too much clay it will be hard to get a good impression. Also since clay tends to stick to clay you will need to use a mold release. You can use cornstarch, baby powder or you can even get the mold wet and use water as a release.
After you press the clay in the mold simply pull the clay out. Do not bake the clay in the mold.
