The most prominent colors are green and red although there are splashes of blue too. We made this necklace using silk paints and painting a piece of silk with a paint brush. Using different types of salt on the wet paints resulted in the colors making interesting effects. After the paints had dried we cleaned the piece, heat set the colors, cut it and then sewed it. I painted wooden beads bright yellow and then put the necklace together. It closes with a parrot clasp.
The silk we use is ponge 5,which is a floaty lightweight silk.
Size: approximately 82 cm ( 32.3 in) from one end to the other.
The necklace will come packaged in a jiffy bag and wrapped with tissue paper, as shown in the last photo.
