This bar was formulated for use as a shampoo, but it can also be used as a body bar unless you have exceptionally dry skin. These bars were formulated for persons with various scalp complaints. Neem oil is used traditionally for reducing thick flakiness in the scalp, deterring scabies and lice, for eczema and psoriasis. The bars have a powerful earthy scent from the Neem oil, somewhat like peanut butter. Neem is a strong Ayurvedic medicinal tree from India, you can see my trees pictured in this listing. The oil from neem seeds is what I use in this shampoo. This bar has a total of 20% wild-harvested neem oil as well as essential oils of Tea Tree & Patchouli. The dark color of this soap comes from the neem oil.

No extra conditioner is needed with this shampoo, therefore the need for a commercial shampoo and conditioner bottle is eliminated when you choose shampoo bars. To use these shampoo bars just wet the hair, and rub the bar onto a couple of areas on the hair. Then work up the lather with your hands. Castor oil and Coconut oil provide a nice stable lather for shampooing.

These bars are orangutan and rain forest friendly soaps; no palm oil was used. This bar is also GMO free.

Very nice. At first I was concerned because the bar in the box is a wee bit, hmm I'll say "stinky" - I think it's the nutty Neem oil smell. BUT, after washing my hair I love the sqeeky clean I get and after I dried my hair the smell is very natural and nice.
