An integral piece of these ensembles was the mellow voiced Clarinet.
Here, to complete your Miniature Musical Troupe, is that wonderful Horn. Include it with the Piano or Harp in your music room. Add it to the slide Trombone in your Dixieland Band. Let it play Solo!
Being a Clarinetist, I have been frustrated with the miniature versions I've seen...they are all too big!
So what is a Miniaturist to do?
I hauled my full sized Clarinet out of the closet and began measuring and converting to 1:12 scale.
It took several prototypes over the course of a few years, but I am finally satisfied with this convincing 1:12 Scale Model B Flat Clarinet. Materials and aesthetics prevent every key from being included, but the overall visual effect is wonderful!
Made of wood stained to look like Black Ebony, the Bell and Mouthpiece are hand-carved.
Each of over twenty holes are hand-drilled with a pin vise and then fitted with cut and shaped metal Keys. Nickel metal collars have been carefully fit to each bore joint, as has a metal Ligature on the Mouthpiece and Reed.
There is even a tiny metal Thumbrest!
Measures: 2 1/4" L
Each Clarinet that I make is Signed, Dated, Numbered, and includes a Letter of Authenticity.
This a Musing Miniature comes in a velvet lined jewel box and ships in a bubble mailer First Class with domestic Tracking.
There are no articulating keys on this Clarinet. Handle with care.
