This mid century modern cat lounge is constructed of a bent walnut plywood shell with a removable upholstered cushion and solid walnut legs. Inspired by the iconic work of Charles and Ray Eames, this is a meticulously handcrafted piece of fine furniture for your pet.
Tired of the ubiquitous tacky pet bed, CANOPYstudio has designed this piece of pet furniture to compliment discerning modern interiors.
Rare earth magnets are embedded in the bent plywood shell. These magnets secure the upholstered cushion to the piece, while allowing it to be removed or swapped out easily. Additional cushions will be available to purchase and will fit on this bed. The upholstery fabric is imported from Denmark, and is featured on high end modern furniture from Design Within Reach. It is extremely durable and resists cat clawing.
The solid walnut legs are reinforced at each joint with walnut dowels. Great care has been taken at every element of design and construction of this bed. The overall measurements for the piece are 19”w x 11.5”d x 11.5”h.
The graceful balance between curved shell and geometric legs is brought to life by a cat's unique ability to elevate lounging to a high art. And I can’t keep my cats off of their Canopy Lounges!
