We had a great opportunity to go and pick our own citrus fruit this past winter in Florida. Once the holiday season was over I got to take a much needed Vacation myself and what a great one it was! There was Orange, tangerine, and grapefruit trees on the very block we were staying. We loaded up the car with them I bet we had 250 pounds! We put the fish we caught in a cooler on the roof. My fiance and I canoed out and spent 3 days over the new year on our own island. We saw 6 firework displays at the same time from there. It was beautiful. We found and cooked our own oysters right on the fire. They pop open when they're done.
I met an old friend of mine there I hand't seen for years. Still weaving palm leaves, or so I thought, really he just got back from Key West, where he had made his million carving names on shells and is now ready to start his dream of owning a used car lot. To think the first time I met him he was living in a VW bus and had given all of his belongings up for jesus!
