Red satin and chiffon ribbons are 1/2" wide and tie around back of ankle. Crisscross straps make ankles look slimmer.
I have a few listings that are similar: for suede dancing soles (sidewalls protect the satin from rough surfaces) add $13.
Slip on satin and lace slippers offer completely breathable soles. Turned slippers like these were common dancing and special occasion shoes, historically.
These flats add about 1/4" to your height. Cushioning is 4-6 layers of felt made from post-consumer recycled plastic bottles. These shoes feel like a cross between being barefoot and wearing sneakers.
The oval toes of these slippers turn up very slightly to show the soles. Red suede soles are ideal for dancing. This pair is intended for indoor wear. The lower edge of the satin uppers touches the ground when you walk.
The shoes are pictured in sizes 8.5 and 10.5 extra-wide. The amount of lace I use on the toe will vary by your shoe size (or your preference). This pattern of lace is also available in black and in white.
I have two very similar colors of red satin to pick from. One is solid red, one has a slight purple shimmer (the cross threads are purple). Pictures of both coming soon.

These are truly custom-made shoes. I hand make these shoes to fit your measurements.
I make your shoes to fit your measurements, after you place your order. You really can mix and match styles and materials to customize your shoes. The shoes on my website are ones I have made before, and could make again. I am happy to mix and match materials, style, and features. All of my shoes are fitted to have a right and a left. That sounds obvious, but many handmade shoes are not.

Can't decide what color? Two or more pairs of any of my shoes ship for free (in US). With three or more pairs, enjoy a bulk discount. Returning customers also enjoy a discount.
My dress shoes feel like barefoot sports shoes. I can work in orthotic supports if you would prefer additional arch support. (I ask that you purchase and send those to me, because what feels good varies from person to person.) If you wear custom orthotics, I can leave room in the shoe for those.
Different sizes of feet, extra wide or extra narrow feet? No problem. If you've had trouble finding shoes that fit, please ask for my help!
I only have a few demo pairs in stock at any time. If it's important to you to see an example pair of shoes before you purchase them, ask me what I can do. (I don't have all sizes in all fabrics in stock at all times, of course.)
For shoes, I have five toe shapes: boxy, upturned, round, pleated, and oval. The boxy and upturned shoes fit more loosely in the arch area than the round and oval styles. The boxy toe has extra room over the small toe and is the loosest fitting in the toe area. The upturned toe shows the most sole. The oval toe is the most tailored to the foot. The pleated toe shows no sole but is only suitable for indoor wear. The round toe is a hybrid of the oval and upturned toe styles. All of my shoes are patterned to fit your feet around the ball of the foot, and are meant not to bind in any way.
I am meticulous about collecting your measurements: that's because the accuracy of the fit depends on the accuracy of the measurements you provide me. With accurate measurements I can usually get it spot on. If I see something unusual in your numbers, I'll ask you to double check.
To provide me with accurate measurements, check out my listing for detailed shoe sizing and measurements info (now, thank goodness, with pictures!)
