These booties are soft and sweet! They keep their shape very well. They are easy to make - even for beginners! Booties can be made with a kitty face and ears or a plain style. The booties have a high back which helps them to stay on baby’s feet. The pattern includes two cutting lines for the back – an extremely high back like the charcoal kitty or a regular high back like the pink kitty. The top of the bootie is one piece - that includes the strap and high back. Felt is used for the lining and outside of the booties (acrylic or wool felt can be used – wool felt was used for sample booties). Different color felt rectangles are fused together. Then the top and sole shapes are cut out and stitched. Booties can be made from a single piece of felt, eliminating the fusible web, but they won’t be as sturdy. Booties are tied with 1/4” to 1/2” ribbon.
This ten page PDF e-pattern includes full size patterns, a materials list, instructions written in English, and step-by-step photographs. Booties will fit babies from newborn to approximately 14 months. Four sizes of booties are included in pattern - lengths of finished soles are 4”, 4.25”, 4.5” and 4.75”. Additional instructions are given for enlarging the patterns for even more sizes. Optional instructions are given to put a non-skid sole on booties for babies that are walking.

12-14 months - 4.75” length of finished sole
