I make each button individually myself, this includes forming the designs, smoothing and finishing; biscuit firing, hand painting with glazes and finally a second firing for a stunning finish. The designs are inspired by vintage buttons, fabrics and life around me. I started to make buttons to fulfil my need to have ‘special’ buttons for my own textile work, these are perfect for projects that need something distinctive and unique or just to own as beautiful objects in their own right. I don’t disclose my exact process for making my buttons. The buttons are made from strong clay and can be washed on a gentle wash with foil wrapped around them or by hand.

My buyers purchase my buttons for many applications: couture clothing and accessories, serious buttons collections, as decorative objects in there own right on mantel pieces or wall installations.
