These two sisters are the very best of friends and do everything together. They' re having their photo taken as a special treat before Clothilde goes off to school this year. it will be the first time these two girls will be away from each other for more than a few minutes and they're both a little fretful. But today they're dressed in matching dresses and determined to have a fun fun day with the photographer.
Clothilde is 8 inches tall from her little round ears to her tippy-toes. She is entirely handstitched from golden brown mohair/silk and is filled with wool and steel shot for a nice heavy feel in your hands. She has long slender arms and legs complete with stitched claws and a signature Sweet Souls bear tail. Her shining black eyes are German glass and her nose has been waxed and polished. She has been extensively hand tinted for a lovely vintage look and feel. Clothilde wears a hand-stitched cotton shift made from vintage cotton knit and cotton lace trim. Her clothing and silk ribbon headpiece are all removable; the tiny dress closes in the back with a vintage mother of pearl button with ribbon loop closure.
Baby Edwina is also stitched from a lovely golden brown mohair/silk with the tiniest of hand stitches. She is gently rubbed with tea for a lovely worn look and tinted to accentuate her delicate features. Edwina is dressed in an vintage ivory cotton knit dress designed to coordinate with big sister Clothilde's pretty frock. It is trimmed with cotton laces and closes in back with a tiny pearl. Edwina also has stitched claws on her tiny hands and feet. Her small body is filled with wool and steel shot for a nice weight in your hand and her piercing black eyes are of German glass. This little girl is 3.75 inches tall from the tips of her ears to her toes and sits upright without any help. She also has a teeny tiny bobbed bear tail as all Sweet Souls bears do!
These sweethearts will travel to you snuggled in there own quilted drawstring sleep saque [Hand-dyed and sewn by the artist] so they will be safely cuddled and warm on their journey. They will also be carrying personalized Sweet Souls hang tags which has been signed and dated by the artist.
