TYPEWRITER EARRINGS~~
Emma, by Jane Austen, is a novel about the perils of misconstrued romance. The novel was first published in December 1815. As in her other novels, Austen explores the concerns and difficulties of genteel women living in Georgian-Regency England; she also creates a lively 'comedy of manners' among her characters.
Before she began the novel, Austen wrote, "I am going to take a heroine whom no one but myself will much like."[1] In the very first sentence she introduces the title character as "Emma Woodhouse, handsome, clever, and rich." Emma, however, is also rather spoiled; she greatly overestimates her own matchmaking abilities; and she is blind to the dangers of meddling in other people's lives and is often mistaken about the meanings of others' actions....http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Emma
I created this pair of earrings with an image of a vintage typewriter, a quote from the novel "Emma" on it's paper, the cover of the vintage classic "Emma" by Jane Austen plus a picture of Jane Austen all displayed on chipboard. The typewriter keys are wood replicas, the book and typewriter are flat images with a 3 dimensional look. The main picture shows the front of the earrings the 2nd picture shows the back. The length of the earrings from the top of the surgical steel ear wires to the bottom of the longest dangle is 2-1/2" long.
