A NOTE ON LETTERPRESS
Highly individual and sculptural in its results, letterpress printing marks the revival of elegant, social correspondence. It was the predominant form of printing until the 1940s. Today, only a small amount of high-quality art and hobby letterpress printing remain.
BellaBaroque Design Studio captures the delicate beauty and tactile warmth that is so often lost in more modern printing techniques. This printing technique is done by hand one card at a time. Please understand subtle variations in inking, color, impression, and position are inherent to the process.

When you request a sample, please include your wedding date and when you need the invitations to be in your hands. ALSO please include the date you need Save the Date card sets (if you need those). Its important for me to know right away if I can meet your deadline.
Due to a busy shop, I cannot do rush jobs. If your wedding is within 3 months, I may not be able to help you. I will do my best to get your project on the schedule as soon as possible. Please be aware that your project may not be started for 2-3 weeks.

IMPORTANT: Before you request a quote please tell me your wedding date, the country and state to send your finished product to, if you need Save-the-Date cards, and if you plan to use a calligrapher to make sure we can get you on the schedule. The months of February, March and April are very busy.
Explain what pieces you need, how many sets, and what color ink you like. The minimum order is 100 sets.
After you have communicated your request, I will give you a total cost estimate which will include, design, typesetting, plates, letterpressing, paper and print. If you approve the cost and would like to proceed with the order, I will then post a "Design Deposit" listing in my shop with your name on it for you to purchase. I will also send you a link to that listing through the Etsy Conversations (chat box) to make it easier for you. The Design Deposit will be 50% of the estimate.
You purchase the listing by "Adding to Cart" and being prompted through PayPal to complete the transaction. After the transaction has been completed, please send me your invitation text via Etsy chat box as you would like your guests to see it on your invitations (separated with returns.) I will copy and paste that text exactly as you have sent it. Then I will begin laying out your wedding suite. As I complete the layouts, I will send you images of your wedding set as attachments via the chat box. You should check your Etsy email box each day for completed proofs for your approval. You need to send me a note explaining any edits to be made or if you're happy with it. If you prefer to see your final invitation in paper version, just ask. :) This will add an additional week to the turn-around time for the full project.
After the project is completed and you have approved the final layouts, you will be asked to purchase another listing called "Custom Order" with your name on it. This is the balance due. Many times brides request additional elements to be created during the design process. So the balance due is not necessarily the remaining 50%. This listing needs to be purchased prior to printing. Printing usually takes about 2 weeks. Shipping takes 3-4 days. Shipping to other countries can take up to 3 weeks.
The shipping and insurance cost for your box of wedding invitations comes to around $40. For other countries it can be as much as $350. This shipping fee is added to your purchase in 2 transactions of $20 (one for each listing that you purchased.) If you need your wedding invitations shipped sooner, I will need to charge you for the express delivery which could be an additional $65.
Please allow 6-8 weeks for complete design, print and delivery.
