In the mid 1800’s these hand blown hollow beads were at the height of fashion and popularity. In the 1850’s the faceted ones like this one were all the rage! They continued to be made into the early and mid 1900's. Thankfully, some of these rare delicate yet sturdy glass beads withstood the test of time. These are a must for every vintage bead lover and collector!
They measure about 15/16mm long and are 7/8 mm. They were blown into wooden molds in long lines of several beads. The beads were then cut apart leaving a sharp edge on the ends. A small bead cap or tiny cone will finish off the ends well.
You will receive 10 beads.
