For this cuff I combined several antique Indian embroideries that I bought 20 years ago. I added vintage fringe from another region of India to the top and bottom edges. I sewed them together in such a way that it appears as if everything goes together. That is always my plan in all of my hats and cuffs. :) One end has a point and the other does not. You can wear it either way. I covered the buttons with navy blue linen.
I consider it important in these hats and cuffs that I make to honor the handiwork by artists of the past and the materials themselves. This is certainly no exception to that.
This cuff will fit any wrist 7" or larger. To make smaller, you simply wrap the loop around again. If you need it smaller still, buttons can be moved and I can do that for you. It measures 4" down the wrist and 6 1/4" to the end of the point.
These Peace Cuffs are one of a kind for sure! I have such a wonderful time making them. They feel like little bejeweled hats to me. As is true of my hats, these cuffs are sturdy and made to be worn. Whether with casual jeans, gypsy skirts, funky outfits or dressed up, they look great and are very comfortable.
Check out the photos for details. There is so much to see.
All are lined with soft fabric and close with buttons and elastic loops, which provide clean-cut closure and adjustability.
