It's actually a colander that I put holes into while the clay was soft. The bowl was made on my pottery wheel out of porcelain clay. I added the little undulating rim while the clay was soft
I made the tray that it sits on by rolling out clay and impressing a cabbage leaf into it for texture. The glaze on the leaf and the leaf legs of this berry bowl is a pretty translucent celery celedon while the rest of the bowl is glazed in a gorgeous water blue celedon. It's a beautiful combination.
This berry bowl will hold a 3-4 lbs of fresh strawberries, maybe more, and is 3.75" high x 8" across. I signed the leaf on its bottom. You'll receive the exact bowl shown above in the middle three photos.
Safe for use in the microwave and dishwasher.
I have other berry bowls in additional colors here: http://www.etsy.com/shop/BlueSkyPotteryCO?section_id=7001252
