The box is one of a kind, as is the pendant - both designed and constructed by me from polymer clay over a form i made myself. I won't make another like it. The lid is textured to look like Chantilly lace and the sides are molded in gathered ribbons of clay. The pendant is smooth on one side and textured to match the lid on the other. Both textured pieces have been washed in an off-white antiquing medium, which was then wiped away leaving the white only in the deep creases. The shine on the ribbon part of the lid and the pendant was achieved by careful sanding with 8 progressively finer grits of sandpaper, and then hand-buffed to bring out the shine.
The pendant is extremely lightweight enough that you'll hardly know you're wearing it, but heavy enough to lie flat. The box's lid fits precisely and the whole piece weighs only a few ounces. The clay i use (Kato Polyclay) produces items that are extremely durable and surprisingly lightweight.
