This is one of a series in which a woman sets off on an ocean journey with a canvas for a sail. The sea voyage is used as a metaphor for an inner, artistic journey. The wind is the creative force that drives her on. In this painting the wind of her creativity has flagged, leaving her stranded far from shore and tormented by the sun's brilliance and heat.
Everyone has those times when their inspiration fails and they cannot progress. It is all a part of the journey, and in time the breeze picks up again.

This is a one-of-a-kind original painting, not a copy, print, or photograph. The price reflects the six weeks it took to complete. It comes with a certificate of authenticity.
