I created this piece for the September 2011 EBW Challenge Lions, Tigers, and Bears, Oh My. For this challenge, we had to take some element of lions, tigers, and bears and combine it with any element from The Wizard of Oz. I chose to have the lion just starting up the yellow brick road.
I created this cuff with Czech seed beads, millefiori glass square beads, and Czech glass rounds in vivid greens and yellows. I created it with a right angle weave technique. The clasp is a metal toggle and loop with a silver plated paw charm for the lion attached at the loop. The different layers of beads make this cuff a little weighty, but it will sit so snugly on your wrist that you won't even notice.
The cuff is 6 1/2" (16.5 cm) long when clasped and just over 7 1/4" (18.42 cm) long from end to end, including the clasp. It is 1 1/4" (3.17 cm) wide.
