Each coaster is decorated with rainbow colored paper strips hand rolled into tight circles using the technique of paper quilling. Paper quilling is an art in which strips of paper are rolled, shaped and glued together to create beautiful decorative designs. This art of paper quilling dates back 16th century and is becoming popular once again with more and more artists experimenting and giving it their own flavor
The coasters are approximately 3 1/2" in diameter and are made of break resistant clear acrylic. They have velour pad in the bottom for a soft and smooth surface that helps protect any surface you place the coaster on. The paper used is acid and lignin free archival quality paper.
As with any handmade item , the coasters you receive may be slightly different than one in photograph but the overall look will be the same. We can make these coasters in your choice of colors too.
