Each morning, I am greeted by a glass of fresh citrus juice, custom squeezed for me by my husband, Mike. Different types of citrus dominate different months: honey tangerines, grapefruit, Valencia or navel oranges, even clementines in season. That, along with coffee, chocolate, and bananas are the things which keep us from being truly locavores, even though we try to eat in season and from our region. If I know the grower or farmer, so much the better. Milk from a cow down the road, or eggs from the backyard are wonderful, but the temptation of fresh citrus fruit is just too great. This yarn is the color of oranges, tangerines, grapefruit, and lemons.
