Before a recent road trip to Austin we were thinking these above thoughts, so we decided to make the Couch Kindle Cover to protect our Kindle 3 on long drive out from California. It worked great and looked even better!
We let the 50 year old beautiful embossed vintage vinyl do the talking on these limited edition Handmade Amazon Kindle Cases made with early 60's GMC Truck Bench vinyl. These upcycled pieces are then hand die-cut by us on a 16 ton press. We then hand sew on the inside a black vinyl collar that keeps things nice and snug so your Kindle will stay safely in it's case, even over the snapping jaws of an alligator. No need for snaps or flaps or whatever here to get in your way.

This upcycled vintage protective case is vegan, sweatshop free and was based on the current Amazon Kindle 3 E Reader with dimensions of 7.5" x 4.8" x 0.34", and also fits the slightly wider Kindle Fire. This can also be shortened to accomodate the Kindle 4 upon request. Hand made by us, people-you-might-hang-out-with-in-real-life-if-you-met-us-not-slave-people-in-a- faraway-land, at Couch Guitar Straps here in the good old California U S and A.
