Retro Snow Dome Garland Americana Reproduction Decoration?
Beats me what to call them but they sure are fun! Do you remember these wonderful vintage airbrushed 3D animated little worlds? Sigh.... Too bad they don't make them like this anymore.
Original photos of 7 snow globes (snow domes?) from my collection, transferred with permanent ink onto white felt for stiffness and durability, hand cut and strung onto 5 feet of red and white baker's twine. They are even strung backwards so you can naturally curve them to look more realistic!
The amazing thing is the garland photo reproductions are actual size and look very much like the real deal. Hang them in the summer to represent your love of American road trips. Hang them in the winter to represent your love of snow and cities and Christmas. Hang them in your kid's room for a great piece of inexpensive art.
