A darling late 1930s gingham dress with such precious details! Made of crisp cotton, it features a classically high waist line. It's very 1939-goes-out-for-a-morning-stroll. The skirt features self-fabric bands of gingham cut on the bias as an accent. This is the sort of detail you simple don't see in new fashion! And I absolutely love the ruffled lace collar with blue dot embroidery. It's a WWII era love affair in blue and white. Closes with side metal zipper.

Length: 41.5"

Condition: Very good
There is some VERY minor darkening of the white at the underarms, which does not detract. The hem has been been taken up somewhat at some point in the past to more a 1940s length - it could easily be let out again. I find nothing else to note!
