This turquoise stoneware planter is 5" across at the widest point and 9.5" from top to bottom. The cerulean (aqua, greenish blue) color glistens in sunlight but it is stoney mat, not shiny. The rim is unglazed letting the color of the clay reveal itself. I fired it upside down on the unglazed rim and also on grog (sand) so where the glaze dripped it would not stick to the shelf. I filed down these drips so they are not sharp. There is a hole for drainage and a plug to keep the soil from dropping through but if you prefer you could use a waterproof glue to keep the plug from letting water through. I position a planter on the floor under the hanging planter and water both at the same time. Of course, outdoors this is not necessary. You can also use a cork plug from the outside bottom and take it out during watering.
The 17" hanger is of synthetic string. I left it a bit long so you could adjust it
The planter is shown with succulents and also with a combination of purple oxalis and geranium. I can also imagine a several ivies in the pot. Plants are not included.
