I am really enjoying creating this style of necklace...the name "Bauble" came to me when creating them...so I am going to dub them my bauble necklaces (a showy, ornament; trinket; gewgaw is what the dictionary says bauble means). This necklace has a garden theme going on...it consist of one big hole lampwork bead made by myself, the bead has ornate silvertone caps with a floral pattern on them and brass core and measures approx 13 to 14~mm hole to hole and 23~mm wide...The bead is a pretty violet with color garden frit. I then finished necklace off with a rhodonite stone big hole bead and a faceted pink glass bead (that I did not create and core) with silvertone core...there is also a silver tone large hole daisy spacer. The long silvertone chain is approx 35" and has no clasp (so that the beads can come off and on easily) the chain is antique brass steel. The grouping of beadss and charm dangle that you see below the beads measures approx 2" in length. The dangle consist of a cute heart dangling from the jumpring that holds the chain together...I then added a genuine freshwater pearl, shell disc...and swarovski crystal dangle. So it's a nice long dramatic style necklace...it would be easy to shorten the chain my snipping off some under the bead where the jump ring brings it all together and closing the ring back up. The metals in this piece are silver plate...and brass.
