The 2nd shows a pair of gelatin monotypes using pressed plants to obtain botanical silhouettes and plant details on vintage dictionary paper.
Multiple pairs of these prints would add fabulous ambiance to decorate a hip boutique or restaurant. Convoy me for group pricing. So far I have created over 80 prints. Instant decor for your new shop!
Each page is 11 x 17 inches.
This listing is for an unframed pair totaling $88. Individual monotypes are also available for $58 each.
Pairs can be made by using two silhouttes on vintage dictionary sheets or one silhouette paired with it's positive detailed print in rice paper.
convo me if you prefer of different pairng.
The process is called gelatin monotyping. I cooked up a batch of plain gelatin (convoy me if you want the recipe and directions). Once the slab sets you ink it up like any other printing plate and you can take paint away or block it (in this case a pressed leaf for the botanical delight).
